I am considering getting a new notebook now that microsoft has announced that going forward Machines purchased with Vista will be eligible for the free windows 7 upgrade when windows 7 ships. However I was also wanting something that was HackingTosh friendly so i could load Macintosh OSX on there and get more fimiliar with it. I know the MSI Wind and a few others does this well, but i need an dvd drive and something more powerfull than the netbook processors .

There's a whole website devotedto the x86 project. I'm sure they could tell you alot more as to which systems work correctly with the tweek. Good luck. *smile*

Steve, did you say that you could get Windows 7 for free if you have a Windows Vista pc/laptop? Then if that's the case, then how do you get it from Microsoft?

no not taht you could get it for free if you have vista, if you purchased a computer that comes with vista starting on June 26th,you would get a free upgrade to windows 7. And you would have to check with the pc maker for the upgrade not microsoft.
